I have the honour to state that the question has arisen whether the Trustees appointed under the German Missions Trustees Ordinance, 1923, should, with the consent of the Governor in Council, be permitted to hand over to the representatives of the German Missionary Societies for disposal as the Society concerned may think fit any surplus funds not required by the Trustees for the purposes of carrying on the work in Hongkong of that Society.

This policy would appear to be equitable

and I shall be glad if I may have your approval for it so far as the matter concerns this Government,

I have the honour to be,

Sir,

Your most obedient humble servant,

7. E. Stubbs

Govermr,
